Taiwan shares fall at close; Taiwan was down 0.16% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the end in Taiwan, it lost 0.16%.

The best performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW: ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Chung Hung Steel Corp (TW: ) added 10.00% or 1.95 points to end at 21.45 and Hey Kwang Enterprise Corp ( TW: ) was up 10.00% or 1.75 points to trade at 19.25 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CX Technology Corp (TW: ), which fell 9.93% or 3.45 points to trade at 31.30 at the close. Lead data Inc (TW: ) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Elite Advanced Laser Corp (TW: ) declined 7.83% or 15.50 points to end at 3.57 182.50.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares of Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-year highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.

Crude oil for November delivery rose 1.36%, or 0.93, to $69.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for December delivery rose 1.45%, or 1.04, to $72.58 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.45 % or 11.90 to $2,680.00 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD rose 0.11% to 31.62, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.

US dollar index futures fell 0.04% to 100.07.
