REVIEW: First time trying Culver’s, worth it for $42 + photos

  • Culver’s is a fast food restaurant that started in Wisconsin and has since expanded across the US.
  • The chain is known for its buttery burgers, cheese curds and frozen custard.
  • I’ve never been before, but my mom loves it, so my husband and I tried it recently.

I’m not really a fast food guy.

My husband and I will occasionally stop by the Wendy’s drive-thru on a long road trip or grab something from McDonald’s. But living in downtown Cincinnati, with its plethora of mom-and-pop joints, trendy bars, and upscale restaurants, we don’t usually find ourselves in chain restaurants.

My mom, on the other hand, loves chains. Growing up, we always went to Applebee’s and was over the moon when I took her to BJ’s Brewhouse for her birthday a few years ago. But Culver’s is her absolute favorite.

I’ve heard her rave about burgers and cream cheese and frozen custard for years, but I’ve never been there. Recently, my husband and I decided to see why Ma is so wild about this place – and I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised.

Note: Prices are based on a Culver’s location in Ohio and may vary by state.
