Cornwall Council announces £4.5m for cost of living support

“Because the right to free school meals has been protected since 2018, parents of children who are entitled to free school meals do not always have a low income. Using our Council Tax Assistance data, we can ensure that this round of payments will go to parents who are currently on a low income and are facing the increased costs of running their home. By better targeting the awards, we are able to help families with children of all ages, rather than just school-aged children.”
