Storm Leslie Forms Over Tropical Eastern Atlantic By Reuters

(Reuters) – Storm Leslie has formed over the eastern tropical Atlantic and is expected to strengthen into a hurricane within days, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Wednesday.

Tropical Storm Leslie was about 490 miles (790 km) southwest of the southernmost islands of Cape Verde, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph (65 km/h).

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect, the latest NHC advisory added.
