Turkey stocks fall at close of trade; The BIST 100 was down 1.27% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, it lost 1.27% to hit a new 6-month low.

The best performers of the session on the were Europower Energy and Automation Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:), which was up 4.82% or 3.80 points to trade at 82.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS: ) added 3.66% or 0.42 points to end at 11.90 and Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS: ) was up 3.09% or 2.45 points to trade at 81.75 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS: ), which declined 9.49% or 2.14 points to trade at 20.42 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS: ) declined 7.79% or 4.75 points to end at 56.25 and Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS: ) declined 7.32% or 0.78 points, up to 9.87.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 286 to 261, with 30 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.13%, or 3.60, to $2,673.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 4.02%, or 2.82, to $72.92 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract rose 3.78% or 2.79, up to $76.69 per barrel.

USD/TRY fell 0.02% to 34.18, while EUR/TRY fell 0.40% to 37.64.

US dollar index futures rose 0.37% to 101.80.
