Italian stocks fall at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 down 1.55% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Milan, it lost 1.55% to hit a new one-month low.

The best performers of the session on the were Telecom Italia (BIT: ), which was unchanged 1.62% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.25 at the close. Meanwhile Iveco Group NV (BIT: ) was up 0.46% or 0.04 points to end at 8.79 and Bper Banca SpA (BIT: ) was up 0.43% or 0.02 points to 4.91 at the end of trading.

The worst performers of the session were DiaSorin SpA (BIT: ), which declined 4.05% or 4.25 points to trade at 100.70 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT: ) declined 4.00% or 0.50 points to end at 11.91 and We know SpA (BIT: ) declined 3.59% or 0.07 points to 1.96.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 365 to 137, with 48 ending unchanged.

Shares of Stellantis NV (BIT:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.00% or 0.50 to 11.91.

Crude oil for November delivery rose 4.35%, or 3.05, to $73.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for December delivery rose 4.11%, or 3.04, to $76.94 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.02 % or 0.55 to $2,670.25 per troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.86% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.37% to 101.80.
