German stocks fall at close of trade; DAX down 0.90% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the index was down 0.90%, while the index was down 0.78% and the index was down 1.24%.

The best performers of the session on the were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR: ), which was up 1.50% or 0.50 points to trade at 33.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR: ) added 1.11% or 0.32 points to end at 29.18 and Commerzbank AG ON (ETR: ) was up 0.90% or 0.15 points to trade at 16.17 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR: ), which declined 3.57% or 1.45 points to trade at 39.14 at the close. Continental AG ON (ETR: ) declined 3.48% or 1.98 points to 54.88 and Vonovia SE (ETR: ) declined 2.92% or 0.98 points to 32.59.

The top performers on the MDAX were Traton SE (ETR: ) which rose 1.07% to 28.35, TeamViewer AG (ETR: ) which rose 0.99% to settle at 11.79 and GEA Group AG (ETR: ) which gained 0.53% to settle at 45.10.

The worst performers were K+S AG (ETR: ), which fell 2.66% to 11.33 in late trade, Hypoport AG (ETR: ) which lost 2.44% to settle at 288.00 and Lanxess AG (ETR: ), which fell 2.32% to 28.60 at the close.

The best performers on TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG ON (ETR: ) which rose 2.89% to 41.94, PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which rose 2.31% to settle at 12.38 and Nagarro SE (ETR: ) which gained 1.96% to close at 88.65.

The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR: ), which fell 3.41% to 17.26 in late trade, Infineon Technologies AG NA ON (ETR: ), which lost 2.86% to settle at 29.76 and Evotec AG ON (ETR: ), which fell 2.12% to 5.99 at the close.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 415 to 165, with 35 ending unchanged.

Shares of GEA Group AG (ETR: ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.53% or 0.24 to 45.10.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.07%, or 1.80, to $2,671.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 4.41%, or 3.09, to $73.19 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract rose 4.18% or 3.09, up to $76.99 per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% at 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.35% to 101.79.
