McGriff Amps Up SE gets deals by purchasing Amity in Tampa

McGriff, a large retail insurance brokerage based in Charlotte, announced that it has acquired Amity Benefits, an employee benefits brokerage based in Tampa.

Amity, founded in 2017, specialized in the car dealership space. The acquisition will expand McGriff’s capabilities in this and other areas, Mike Breedlove, McGriff’s national sales and growth leader, said in a statement.

Brian Howard is CEO of Amity. Amity will now operate as part of the southern region for McGriff, and Amity staff will join the McGriff benefits team, the company said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
