Arsenal v Everton LIVE – team news, TV channel, kick-off time, score and commentary stream

It’s Arsenal vs Everton on the final day of the Premier League season. And while the Blues can make the trip to the Emirates Stadium without the drama of relegation, the pressure is on their opponents.

Entering the last round of matches, Arsenal is two points behind the leaders and defending champions, Manchester City, and with a chance to win the title. On another occasion, the Evertonians may want the Gunners to come out on top, given that they are managed by former Goodison Park favorite Mikel Arteta.

But after an end to the season where relegation worries were well and truly banished, Everton will be looking to spoil the potential party and destroy any chance Arteta and Arsenal have of wresting top spot away from City, who is home to a West Ham. The United team for which it will be David Moyes’ last game in charge of the club.

Joe Thomas and Chris Beesley traveled to the capital to cover the Blues’ final game of another rollercoaster campaign. Kicking off at 4pm and airing live on TNT Sports, they’ll have all the build-up to the game, including team news when it drops at 3pm, plus all the best post-match analysis and reaction.

Setting the big game

It’s a big game in a big setting here in Arsenal’s media suite.

Obviously, we’re about to enter the final season in August for Everton at Goodison Park, the set-up here at the Emirates really is a world away from what we’re used to in the cozy confines of ‘The Grand Old Lady’. ‘

It will be interesting to see how much bigger the new press room is at Everton’s future home near the banks of the Mersey, but even though the Emirates is almost 18 years old now, the facilities here are impressive.

I have Henry Winter sitting just to my right, and as you might expect, he has a lot of visitors coming by and talking to him.

There was even a TV presenter who curled her hair before going in front of the cameras, which I have to admit is the first press room I’ve ever witnessed.

Everton lineups

So what will it be for the Blues today?

An all-out attempt to spoil the party for Arsenal? Or the chance to say goodbye to departing players and see some youngsters?

Joe and Chris have had their say on the XIs they would pick.

Welcome from the Emirates

Hello everyone and welcome to our latest Everton live blog of the Premier League season at the Emirates.

The Blues did remarkably well to secure their top-flight status some three weeks before this game as NO ONE at Goodison Park wanted to go into this game with Everton’s Premier League place in doubt , after going the distance in the final week of the campaign. in the previous two campaigns.

Speaking of which, today is the second anniversary of Everton’s dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Crystal Palace, plus the 40th anniversary of another trip to London, when Howard Kendall’s side beat Watford 2-0 to lift the FA Cup and start a golden era (please see my article on Derek Mountfield’s recollections of the day, he tells such a great story).

This afternoon is an opportunity for Sean Dyche’s side to shine against Mikel Arteta’s title chasers, although I suspect the events in the North West at the Etihad will carry Pep Guardiola’s warnings to his players about what could happen here, a moot point.
