Mexico stocks fall at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC fell 1.01% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Mexico, down 1.01%.

The best performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (BMV: ), which rose 3.82% or 0.85 points to trade at 23.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Regional SAB de CV (BMV: ) rose 3.08% or 3.82 points to end at 128.00 and Becle SA (BMV: ) was up 2.95% or 0.89 points to 31.07 at the end of trading.

The worst performers of the session were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV: ), which declined 4.76% or 0.59 points to trade at 11.80 at the close. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV: ) declined 4.46% or 0.46 points to end at 9.85 and Grupo Carso, SAB De CV (BMV: ) declined 3.78% or 4, 66 points, up to 118.72.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 142 to 68, with 16 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.23%, or 6.20, to $2,675.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 5.15%, or 3.61, to $73.71 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.26, to 77.87 dollars per barrel.

USD/MXN rose 0.10% to 19.36, while EUR/MXN was unchanged 0.01% to 21.36.

US dollar index futures rose 0.28% to 101.71.
