Russian stocks rise at close of trade; MOEX Russia rose 0.56% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Moscow, it gained 0.56%.

The best performers of the session were TKS Holding MKPAO (MCX: ), which rose 3.60% or 90.00 points to trade at 2,588.50 at the close. Meanwhile, OK Rusal MKPAO (MCX: ) added 2.92% or 0.99 points to end at 34.77 and PIK SHb PJSC (MCX: ) was up 2.53% or 15.70 points to 635.60 at the end of the trade.

The worst performers of the session were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (MCX: ), which fell 1.88% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.12 at the close. MMC NORILSK NICKEL PJSC (MCX: ) declined 1.24% or 1.30 points to end at 106.50 and Rostelekom PJSC (MCX: ) declined 0.93% or 0.68 points to at 72.31.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 129 to 118, with 7 ending unchanged.

which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia index options, fell 6.51% to 29.74.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.23%, or 6.20, to $2,675.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 5.15%, or 3.61, to $73.71 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract rose 0.32% or 0.25 to $77.86 per barrel.

USD/RUB fell 0.04% to 94.72, while EUR/RUB rose 0.01% to 104.52.

US dollar index futures rose 0.28% to 101.71.
