Coventry agency hires ex-newspaperman as it heads East

A PR, communications and public affairs agency has made a senior appointment as it looks to continue its growth momentum.

PLMR Advent, part of the PLMR Group in Westminster, is based in Coventry and was founded 25 years ago.

Just appointed Paul Suart as account manager. Suart has 20 years of industry experience as a reporter, editor and content editor, most recently working for Reach plc.

Suart will work within the PLMR Advent client base and will also support growth across the Midlands region.

Lee Corden, a PLMR board director who heads the Coventry office, said the appointment was part of a plan to expand the company’s footprint.

He said: “We are delighted to have attracted Paul to join us. He has a wealth of media experience and will prove invaluable as part of the team helping the company move forward in the Midlands.

“We work with clients locally, nationally and internationally but have a strong Midlands focus as we are based in Coventry and Birmingham.

“This went very well across the board, with our work for them appearing in regional, national and trade titles and growing our client base as a result.”

PLMR, which acquired Advent just over two years ago, has offices in Westminster, Ipswich, Birmingham and Scotland, employs 100 people and is a top 50 UK communications agency.

Suart added: “I thought about moving into public relations, but I wanted it to be with the highest quality agency. I have been with PLMR Advent for over a decade and know how well they represent their clients.

“They are very media savvy, employ staff who have a proven track record of producing accurate and relevant copy and are very careful when it comes to what is newsworthy.

“As a journalist, there are certain agencies you can rely on – and PLMR Advent is among the best.”
