Mexico stocks are up at the close; S&P/BMV IPC rose 1.81% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, it was up 1.81%.

The best performers of the session were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV: ), which rose 5.26% or 1.02 points to trade at 20.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Inbursa SAB De CV (BMV: ) was up 4.53% or 2.07 points to 47.73 and Grupo Carso SAB De CV (BMV: ) was up 4.01% or 4.77 points to 47.73 at 123.58 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV: ), which fell 2.56% or 0.59 points to trade at 22.50 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (BMV: ) declined 1.63% or 0.19 points to end at 11.44 and Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV: ) declined 0.37% or 0 .54 points, up to 145.14.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Mexico Stock Exchange 141 to 72, with 18 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.22 percent, or 5.85, to $2,673.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 1.00% or 0.74% to $74.45 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract added 0.55% or 0.43, to 78.05 dollars per barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.28% to 19.29, while EUR/MXN was down 0.91% to 21.16.

US dollar index futures rose 0.48% to 102.24.
