Wigan Warriors loan a pair to Super League clubs on short-term deals – Total Rugby League

WIGAN WARRIORS have loaned Sam Eseh and Tiaki Chan to Castleford Tigers and Hull FC respectively on short-term loans.

Both players will head to The Jungle and MKM Stadium on two-week deals with the Tigers and Black and Whites struggling at the bottom of the Super League table.

Now Wigan head coach Matt Peet has explained the decision to loan both players out.

“It’s game time. They both deserve to play Super League and are training to play. It gives them an opportunity to get in shape but show what they can do and be as prepared as possible if and when we have to call on them,” Peet said.

“I can’t wait to see them play Super League. Sam will make his debut for us at some point this season.

“We know what his strengths are, he applies himself very well. I am confident that he will have real success here in the long term. He is a young player and he chooses the right opportunity for him.”
