Desperate hunt launched for missing boys, aged 10 and 12, last seen eating ice cream in a Birmingham park before they disappeared

A desperate hunt has been launched for two missing boys, aged 10 and 12.

They were last seen eating ice cream in a park in Birmingham before disappearing.

The boys, named by Birmingham police as Abu and Bilal, were last seen in the city’s popular 250-acre Cannon Hill Park.

Concerned locals posted on social media, with one saying they could hear helicopters “hovering” around the park.

Others sent well wishes to the children’s families, with one user posting: “I pray they are found soon.”

Police posted on X: “Have you seen Abu and Bilal? The children, aged 12 and 10, pictured earlier today, were last seen in Cannon Hill Park today and we are concerned for their safety.

A spokesman said the force had a “number of resources in the search area”.

Anyone who sees the boys or thinks they have seen them should call 999 immediately, quoting log number 2218 of May 19.
