Here’s what CNBC TV producers were watching as the stock market dropped Monday and what’s on the radar for the next session.

PepsiCo

  • The juice and snack giant reports before the bell on Tuesday.
  • The stock is up 1.7% in three months.
  • peptic it’s up 8.8% from the 52-week high hit in May.
  • It’s not a cola-to-cola comparison, but Coca cola increased by 8% in three months. That’s down 6% from the September high.

PepsiCo stock in 2024

Boeing

  • The airline manufacturer reports September orders and deliveries at 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
  • Boeing down 1% in one month and down 15.6% in three months.
  • The stock is 42% off its December high.

Insurance stocks

  • After many of those names hit record numbers, insurance stocks fell on Monday ahead of another major hurricane approaching Florida. This time it’s a category 5 monster called Milton.
  • travel fell 4.3% on Monday. That’s down 7% from its high three weeks ago.
  • Progressive decreased by 3.85%. That’s 5.75% from its mid-September high.
  • WR Berkley lost 3.47% on Monday. That’s up 8% from the September high.
  • Hartford lost 3%. Shares are down 4% from last week’s high.
  • Insurance Hannover fell 2.8% on Monday. The stock is up 4% from its Sept. 19 high.

Super Micro’s Super Jump

  • Shares rose nearly 16% on Monday Super Micro Computer said sales are still strong.
  • It remains 61% off its March 52-week high.
  • Shares closed at $47.74. The all-time high is $122.90.

Super Micro Computer Performance in 2024

Amazon and Apple

  • Both giants have been hit by analyst downgrades for months.
  • Wells Fargo downgraded Amazon to equalize the weight from being overweight. Jefferies fell Apple to withhold from purchase.
  • Both stocks lost about $5 a share on Monday. That’s a 3% drop for Amazon and a 2.25% drop for Apple.
  • Amazon is now up 10% from its July high.
  • Apple is up 6.5% from its July high.

Nuclear

  • White House National Climate Adviser Ali Zaidi said Monday that the administration is working to restart more nuclear reactors in the US.
  • He mentioned the two projects that CNBC previously reported on. One is in Michigan and the other is in Pennsylvania. It is not clear if more will come soon.
  • Vistra fell 5% on Monday.
  • NEXTER decreased by 4.25%. That’s up 6.75% from last week’s high.
  • Uranium energy fell 3.46% on Monday. It is now 20% off its February 1 high.
  • The Sprott Uranium Miners ETF (URNM) decreased by about 2.4%.
