“Evacuate now,” Biden tells those in the path of Hurricane Milton, per Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday urged those ordered to leave before Hurricane Milton hit Florida to “evacuate now,” saying it was a matter of life and death.

“This could be the biggest storm to hit Florida in over a century, and God willing, it won’t be, but it looks like it right now,” Biden said.

Biden added that he approved emergency declarations before landing in Florida and is calling on airlines to accept evacuations and not engage in price hikes.
