Mexico stocks fall at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.53% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Mexico, down 0.53%.

The best performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV: ), which rose 5.41% or 1.23 points to trade at 23.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Gruma SAB de CV (BMV: ) rose 3.51% or 11.74 points to end at 346.00 and Cemex SAB de CV (BMV: ) was up 3.24% or 0 .37 points to 11.80 in late trading.

The worst performers of the session were Alfa, SAB De CV (BMV: ), which fell 4.75% or 0.76 points to trade at 15.25 at the close. Regional SAB de CV (BMV: ) declined 3.39% or 4.38 points to end at 125.01 and Banco Del Bajio SA Instituția De Banca Multiplă (BMV:) declined 3.36% or 1.54 points to 44.33.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Mexico Stock Exchange 112 to 110, with 13 ending unchanged.

Shares of Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.41% or 1.23 to 23.95.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.95%, or 25.30, to $2,640.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery fell 4.21%, or 3.25, to $73.89 a barrel, while December Brent crude fell 0.04 % or 0.03, up to 77.47 dollars per barrel.

USD/MXN rose 0.08% to 19.35, while EUR/MXN fell 0.07% to 21.25.

US dollar index futures fell 0.09% to 102.21.
