Are Taylor and Garrett from ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 7 Still Together?

  • “Love Is Blind” season seven features singles from the Washington, DC area.
  • Taylor and Garrett are one of the couples who get engaged and manage to come out of their pods.
  • It’s unclear if they’re still together at this point, and the show hints at future difficulties.

“Love Is Blind” is back — and this time, it’s tackling the notoriously difficult dating scene in Washington, DC.

Fortunately, some participants were able to find love in the pods. Taylor, a 30-year-old clean energy policy consultant, and Garrett, a 33-year-old physicist, have become one of this season’s most compelling couples after hitting it off in episode one. Drawn by their similar backgrounds, they hit it off early on in the pods—and despite some hiccups—they manage to stay on track until a proposal.

On TikTok, Taylor joked that she was in the TV spotlight because “Love Is Blind” is Netflix’s flagship dating franchise. According to the company’s own engagement data, “Love Is Blind” regularly attracts millions of views, meaning the cast’s dating incidents are shown to a staggering global audience.

In one video, she lip-synced a line from Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” as she looked in the mirror: “I’m begging you, don’t embarrass me, motherfucker.”

Here’s how Taylor and Garrett met and what we know about their relationship today.

Taylor and Garrett bonded over a shared scientific background in pods

Upon their first meeting in episode one, Taylor and Garrett learn that they share a science background. As a bonus coincidence, they also both have science-related tattoos: Taylor has a hydrogen molecule on her wrist related to her work as a clean energy policy consultant, and Garrett has Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, a nod to quantum mechanics. concept, on his arm.

At another meeting in episode one, Taylor tells Garrett that she doesn’t want to tell him her mother’s name because it suggests her ethnicity. Garrett replies that she hasn’t thought about her ethnicity at all, but previously only dated white women.

However, he also says he found her “calculated” in her communication with him – something he didn’t necessarily see as negative.

“And that’s good feedback to get,” she replies. “It’s just, like, I think it’s hard to hear that it seems, like, really calculated.”

However, the pair move forward and continue to develop their relationship. In the episode Second, Taylor reads Garrett a romantic confession that includes a love letter her grandfather once wrote to her grandmother expressing his intention to marry her. In response, Garrett proposes – and Taylor says yes.

The pair meet in person later in the episode. They are also one of six couples producers selected to go on a couples trip to Mexico. Compared to other couples, their vacation is relatively drama-free.

The previews suggest a rocky road ahead for Taylor and Garrett

“It’s all fun and games until, like, it’s real,” Garrett says in a voiceover during the teaser for the rest of season seven.

The couple is shown meeting a woman (presumably Taylor’s mother) in the preview, and she expresses some hesitation: they don’t know enough about Garrett to judge the character. Garrett’s parents also express some concerns, and his mother says she doesn’t want him to get hurt as a result of the experiment.

There is also a clip where the couple have a disagreement at a party with the other cast members. Garrett appears to tell Taylor that his ex-girlfriend texted him.

“Did you answer?” Taylor says. “This is the worst thing ever.”

“Any. It doesn’t matter,” says Garrett.

Later, there is a photo of Taylor crying, although the context is unclear.

As of this writing, Garrett still follows Taylor on Instagram. However, it doesn’t look like she’s following him. Garrett liked Taylor’s Instagram post of her cast portrait, but it doesn’t look like he liked his.

Taylor posted about the show on TikTok, reacting to a clip of her shooting Garrett the first time he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Garrett has also been active on Instagram, and his recent appearance – compared to how he looks on the show – has led some viewers to speculate that he and Taylor are still together.

“Garrett’s transformation from filming the show to now makes me think she married him at the same time,” wrote journalist Nina Parker on X (formerly Twitter).

It’s worth noting, though, that Garrett may have another reason for his new look: He modeled for Stan Clothing at New York Fashion Week in September.

The next episodes of “Love Is Blind” season seven will air on Wednesday, October 9 Netflix.
