Now retired, I am an income oriented investor looking for high yielding income to support my retirement lifestyle. I became deeply interested in the scholarship starting in late 2007 (bad time for me, but worse for my uncle) when I received an unexpected inheritance. . Since then, I’ve done considerable research and vowed to make smarter long-term investment decisions after suffering through the Great Recession with minimal losses to my legacy portfolio after firing my financial advisor. I mainly look for stocks and dividend paying funds (BDCs). , REITs, CEFs, ETFs) that provide high-yield income to grow my retirement income beyond my pension and Social Security. I also enjoy reading investment/financial and business information and following technology and market trends. The human psychology of the markets is just as fascinating and unfathomable to me as the financial side. I am not a financial advisor so please do your own due diligence before making any buying or selling decisions. “The race is not always for the swift, nor the battle for the strong, but that is the way to bet.” Damon Runyon
