Armley: Leeds Migrant Access Project (8 week training course)

The Leeds Migrant Access Project (commonly referred to as MAP) is launching an 8-week training program for people from new communities in Leeds (including asylum seekers) to ensure that people new to Leeds can better understand how it works services in Leeds. Not sure if you are familiar with MAP training? In short, it’s a council-led project that was set up over ten years ago to work with new and emerging communities in Leeds. It works to ensure that people in Leeds understand local services/infrastructure so they can navigate around the city (like a map). The project is delivered through a series of training sessions and offers the opportunity to consult services. Once certain aspects of the training are completed, participants become Migrant Community Networkers (MCNs) and many go on to become involved in community projects. 8 week training program to be held in Armley Community Hub.
