Press conference Ange Postecoglou – Tottenham boss on Kulusevski, victory and Europa League

Contrary to my general demeanor, I loved every minute of it. It’s a big challenge in the Premier League and taking over a big club that didn’t have a great year last year. It was good, it was eventful, it had a bit of everything. Obviously I’m not happy with the way we finished the season but to be fair to the players and the staff we were in the top five all season in a year where there was a bit of an upheaval, we finished eighth last year , changing players. , different football, different way of training, it’s not easy to maintain a level when you try to do that.

I thought Deki was good. He has worked awfully hard this year without much reward in the front third. We thought playing him in the middle today would help us with his mobility and ability to run at the back. He did good. He always works hard but it’s that kind of final three where we need him to get the rewards and he got them today so he did well.

I thought it was pretty good. I thought it was important to put in a decent performance today and win the game for a number of reasons. I thought the boys did pretty well. It’s always a bit difficult the last game of the year, Sheffield United have nothing to play for so it can be easy not to have the right mindset but I thought for the most part we had that tonight. Three goals… I thought Wes Foderingham was outstanding. Overall, I think it was an important win and a good performance.
