Toys R Us Fosse Park is giving away goodie bags to the first 100 kids

Geoffrey the Giraffe will welcome shoppers to the new Toys R Us at Fosse Park next weekend. The toy store will be based in the new WHSmith store in Fosse Park Avenue, which opens its doors for the first time at 8.30am on Saturday 25 May.

The first 100 children to visit the store will be given free toy treats, each containing around £20 worth of treats. The WHSmith branch in the shopping area has moved two doors to what was previously Menkind, and the old WHSmith store on the other side of Boots has already closed.




The toy store’s mascot boss, Geoffrey the Giraffe, can be seen through the windows of WHSmith, which has yet to open. Toys“R”Us said in a statement: “The new Toys R Us store-in-store will feature a key range of products and activities from leading toy brands including Barbie, Bluey, Hot Wheels, LEGO, Marvel, Paw Patrol, Peppa. Pig, Squishmallows, Star Wars and more.

“Kids will be able to access the latest products and play hands-on with their favorite toys at in-store demo tables. A life-size Geoffrey the Giraffe sculpture, great for photo opportunities, will also appear in the new Toys R Us store. -in the store.”

Toys“R”Us at Fosse Park is one of 30 WHSmith branches across the UK, with the first opening in 2023. Ian Sanders, Group Business Development Director for WHSmith, said: “We are very excited to open Toys R Us in Fosse Park.
