Norwegian stocks are up at the close of trade; Oslo OBX rose 1.04% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, it was up 1.04%.

The best performers of the session were TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL: ), which rose 5.46% or 5.35 points to trade at 103.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Submarine 7 SA (OL:) added 2.99% or 5.30 points to end at 182.40 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL: ) was up 2.87% or 3.70 points to trade at 132.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL: ), which fell 6.76% or 0.30 points to trade at 4.20 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:) declined 1.92% or 0.23 points to end at 11.72 and Tomra Systems ASA ( OL: ) declined 1.39% or 2.10 points to 148.80.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 159 to 126, with 20 ending unchanged.

Nel ASA (OL:) shares fell to 5-year lows; losing 6.76% or 0.30 to 4.20.

Crude oil for November delivery rose 2.40%, or 1.76, to $75.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for December delivery rose 2.42%, or 1.85, to $78.43 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.64 % or 16.75, to $2,642.75 per troy ounce.

EUR/NOK fell 0.40% to 11.75, while USD/NOK fell 0.21% to 10.75.

US dollar index futures rose 0.07% to 102.77.
