Missing boys, aged 10 and 12, last seen in Birmingham park eating ice cream found safe after major police search

TWO missing boys aged 10 and 12 who were last seen eating ice cream in a Birmingham park have been found safe.

West Midlands Police launched an urgent search to locate Abu and Bilal, who went missing on Sunday.

They were last seen in Cannon Hill Park.

Birmingham Police confirmed X: “FOUND. Missing 10-year-old Bilal and 12-year-old Abu have just been found safe.

“Thank you very much for your concern and for sharing our call.”

The park had been busy with visitors enjoying the summer weather at the time the boys disappeared.

The force previously shared a photo of the pair eating ice cream while standing outside an ice cream van.

The original post of the appeal read: “Have you seen Abu and Bilal? The 12- and 10-year-olds, pictured earlier today, were last seen in Cannon Hill Park today and we are concerned for their safety.

“We have a number of resources in the area at the moment looking for them and are asking anyone who sees them or thinks they have seen them to call 999 immediately, quoting log number 2218 of May 19.”
