Greater Manchester weather: Unsettled conditions forecast after sunny weekend

Weather conditions are likely to be more unsettled this week after a sunny weekend, according to Met Office forecasters.

Our region enjoyed wall-to-wall sunshine and warm weather on Sunday, with temperatures reaching up to 24C in the city centre. But from today (Monday), temperatures will become slightly cooler, with more unsettled conditions forecast throughout the week.




MET forecasters predict that today will be largely cloudy with a few sunny spells in the late afternoon. The mercury will reach a maximum of around 19C.

Tuesday will be another largely cloudy day. In our region there may be light showers in the morning.

It will feel cooler with an average temperature of around 17C forecast during the afternoon. On Wednesday afternoon, there is a chance of heavy rain, with some cloudy and sunny areas.

On the general outlook for the north-west from Wednesday to Friday, Met Office forecasters said: “There are more showers during this period with bright or sunny spells at times.

“Perhaps a longer period of rain will develop later Wednesday and into Thursday. I feel cooler.”
