Comedian Emmanuel Sonubi has an impressive CV and he brings it to the Lawrence Batley Theatre

A comedian who is becoming well-known on TV after a sell-out tour and wowing crowds at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe is coming to Huddersfield.

Emmanuel Sonubi – who once suffered heart failure on stage – headlined Live At The Apollo and appeared on several TV programs such as Have I Got News For You, QI, Alan Davies As Yet Untitled, Growing Pains by Rhod Gilbert and “You” by The Apprentice. he was fired.’

He will be at the Lawrence Batley Theater on Friday, May 31 at 8 p.m.

Emmanuel has become one of the most popular comics on the circuit and is now on his biggest UK tour to date. This new show takes audiences through a hilarious and heartfelt story that explores all the jobs Emmanuel did before becoming a comedian, and how those experiences—many of which he was unable to do—i -they contributed to shaping the comedy.

His jobs included being a bouncer where he saw someone stabbed with a stiletto, a technical employee working in IT and a musical theater performer – all while becoming a father.

The show is simply called Emmanuel Sonubi: Curriculum Vitae. His previous show in 2022, Emancipated, sold out.

Emmanuel, from London, said: “Emancipated was amazing but this time I’m back with a bigger show and a few surprises along the way.”
