John Henry’s wife sends Liverpool a sarcastic reply to Man City after winning the Premier League

Liverpool owners FSG went to Anfield to bid farewell to Jürgen Klopp in his final game. John Henry’s wife was among those traveling and even managed a sarcastic dig at title winners Manchester City.

As Liverpool paid tribute to their departing manager on Sunday afternoon, City were claiming a fourth consecutive Premier League title. Phil Foden capped a memorable season for Pep Guardiola’s side when he scored twice against West Ham.

City’s players celebrated their latest achievement on the pitch at the Etihad, with the club’s official Twitter/X account then posting “That makes four” in a clear Liverpool try.

The Reds have used the motto “This means more” throughout Klopp’s tenure. The outgoing boss even took part in a video for the club in 2018 and used the slogan.

City’s post was unsurprisingly picked up by many in Liverpool, with Linda Pizzuti even sharing it on her Instagram story, before adding her own sarcastic response.

She wrote: “Honest congratulations to Man City – Premier League champions! So much respect for this amazing achievement. Thank you for thinking of us on your special day.”

Linda had joined her husband John and fellow owner Tom Werner to make an introduction to Klopp on the pitch after the final whistle. She also shared pictures from inside Anfield on an emotional afternoon, adding: “Some of the sights and sounds of a beautiful, moving and packed stadium thank you.”

City boss Pep Guardiola paid his own tribute to Klopp, with the pair battling for top spot in the Premier League for much of the German’s tenure. “I’m going to miss him a lot,” he began. “Jürgen played a very important role in my life, he brought me to another level as a manager, I think we respect each other incredibly.

“There are many times when I didn’t discover the way I played to punish him that I can find with other teams. With him it was so difficult. They are personalities, when they get to places, they stay forever. Jurgen and Liverpool , sorry, Shankly, Paisley, Jürgen will be there.”

Liverpool.com says: Manchester City deserve recognition for another outstanding season. Yes, those 115 carries remain a cloud over the achievement, but on the pitch, Guardiola’s men have been superb. The headline post shows that Liverpool remain on City’s mind and Arne Slot will be hoping his side can be fit again next season.
