Jet2 flight ‘crashes’ from Spain to UK

A Jet2 flight from Alicante was delayed on arrival at Belfast International Airport due to a passenger showing “possible symptoms of chicken pox”.

The airline confirmed that Port Health officials boarded flight LS302 to investigate the situation. It remains unclear how long the passengers were kept on board, but they have since been allowed to disembark and enter the airport building.

A Jet2 spokesperson told GB News: “We can confirm that Port Health officials boarded flight LS302 earlier today following a report of a customer showing possible chicken pox symptoms. Customers have now left the aircraft after a short delay and we apologize for any inconvenience. ”

BirminghamLive recently reported how Jet2 issued an announcement to British tourists leaving the country for Norway. Jet2 has announced a number of new routes to Bergen in Scandinavia from a variety of UK airports including London Stansted, Bristol, Edinburgh, Birmingham Airport, Manchester Airport, Newcastle and Leeds Bradford.

There will be a total of 31 departures on sale for 2025 as seat capacity more than doubles. Jet2 states: “As well as giving customers access to stunning fjords such as Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord, the city of Bergen itself boasts a backdrop of spectacular mountains that wrap around a picturesque harbor lined with a variety of trendy restaurants and bars.

“This historic harbor district, Bryggen, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers visitors one of the world’s most significant examples of the history and culture of a particular medieval settlement.”
