Motorcyclist killed in crash with car in Ladock

A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car in Cornwall today, Monday 20 May. Police were called to reports of a serious crash between a motorcycle and a car at 11.47am this morning between the villages of Ladock and Probus.

The motorcycle rider, a 57-year-old man, died at the scene after sustaining injuries that proved fatal. Any witnesses with information are asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police.




Motorists were advised to avoid the B3275 after the collision. Police closed the road between Ladock and Probus for around seven hours today while specialist collision officers carried out an investigation.

A statement from Devon and Cornwall Police said: “At approximately 1147 hours on Monday 20 May 2024, police received a report of a road traffic collision on the B3275 at Ladock.

“A car and a motorcycle were involved in the collision. As a result of the collision, a 57-year-old man, who was driving the motorcycle, suffered fatal injuries. The B3275 was closed while the scene was examined by specialist forensic collision investigators.

“Police are appealing for witnesses who have not already been spoken to and who may have seen the collision or have dash cam footage to contact police on 101 quoting the log number. 332 05/20/24 .”
