Martin Lewis issues 12-hour Easyjet cheap flight warning that could save £100

MoneySaving expert Martin Lewis has issued an important notice to Easyjet customers, indicating that the budget-friendly airline is preparing to launch its flights from March to June 2025 tomorrow (Tuesday 21 May) from around 6am. The influential financial adviser took to his Twitter profile to alert followers, noting that those who act quickly could save up to hundreds of pounds as flight prices “can go up by £100” just hours after launch.

In his post, Martin said: “Just heard that Easyjet are launching flights from March to June 2025 tomorrow from 6am. Flights can go up by £100 even after a few hours in the morning. So if you’re going to book, try PS Cheapest possible, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a decent booking rate.”

Martin Lewis, widely known for his money-saving advice, has previously highlighted how airlines such as easyJet use “dynamic pricing”. Put simply, this system means that the earlier bookings are made, the cheaper the fares, with prices gradually increasing as demand follows suit.

In a recent video on Twitter, Martin Lewis highlighted an opportunity for Easyjet customers to get significantly lower fares, explaining: “This is an urgent warning if you fly with easyJet as there is an opportunity to get much, much better prices cheaper than normal, but you’ll have to be quick. Now you may know that Easyjet has demand pricing so the prices are dynamic based on the number of people trying to buy tickets for a flight, if there is high demand less demand the price goes down so usually the cheapest point is exactly when the flights are launched”.

Martin didn’t just stop at flying tips, as earlier this year he also stressed the importance of securing travel insurance immediately after booking any trip. During an episode of Money Show Live in January, he advised viewers to get their coverage “as soon as they book” their holidays, the Mirror reports.

He emphasized the urgency by saying: “You need to get your ASAB travel insurance – as soon as you book. If you’ve already booked and haven’t – now. The reason is simple.”
