John Cornwall Obituary – MN

Cornwall, John D. – Loving husband, father and grandfather of 78 years. He passed away on December 2, 2004 at the American Heritage Care Center in Hammond, WI., after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. A decorated Marine veteran of World War II. After the Korean War began, he enlisted in the US Army and retired after a 20-year military career. After his military retirement, he continued federal service working for 12 years for the Veterans Administration. At age 57, he began his third career working 11 years for the state of Minnesota. Preceded in death by parents, Capt. Jack and Effie Cornwall; sister, Nancy Freymiller; brother, Jerry Robenolt. Survived by devoted wife Ann; sons, John T. (Carla) and David; grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Sarah and Brittany; sisters, Grace Edmunds and Goldie Cronce; brother, Robert Seering; sisters-in-law, Joyce Mueller, Beatrice Littel, Joan Brandon, Jeanette Castleberg; brothers-in-law, John (Judy) Brandon and Eugene Brown. Celebration of Life Tuesday, 11 a.m. at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 115 North Fourth Street, Stillwater. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to American Heritage Health Care Center or Trinity Lutheran Church. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
