Dramatic scenes of car overturning in Coventry crash

A driver escaped injury after his vehicle overturned in Coventry. It happened at Willenhall yesterday afternoon (Monday, May 20).

Firefighters from Binley Fire Station were called to the scene at around 4pm. Crews found a car overturned on its roof on Stretton Avenue.




Crews contained the fuel leaking from the vehicle, West Midlands Fire Service said. No one was found injured and the car was later recovered.

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said: “Firefighters from Binley Fire Station responded to Stretton Avenue in Coventry at around 4.05pm on Monday (May 20). Crews arrived on scene to find a car on its roof in the road.

“Firefighters contained the fuel leaking from the vehicle, but no one was injured. Crews made the car safe before it was recovered. I left the scene at 17.04.”
