Warmer today in New York City; high temperatures could reach 83

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae says we will see sunshine today with warmer and more humid temperatures. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s inland, mid 70s along the coast.

  • Wednesday and Thursday will be the warmest days this week, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
  • A strong line of storms arrives Thursday afternoon. Heavy rain, thunder and lightning are possible.
  • Not as hot on Memorial Day weekend. Weather conditions ease through Memorial Day with mild temperatures and a chance of showers.
  • Highs reaching the 70s, but still nice and mild Saturday and parts of Sunday. There will probably be a few showers on Monday.

Today: Mostly sunny, feeling warmer and noticeably humid. Highs near 83.

This evening: A few clouds and mild. Lows near 66.

Wednesday: Foggy, warm and humid. Isolated thunderstorm possible late. Highs near 88. Lows near 69.


Thursday (THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE): Still very warm and gloomy. Sun and clouds. Chance of thunderstorms PM. Highs near 87. Lows near 65.



Friday: Mostly sunny and warm. Less sticky. Highs near 84. Lows near 63.


Saturday: Great sun with a few clouds, not as hot. Highs near 77. Lows near 62.

Sunday: Clouds, sun and light breeze. Highs near 74. Lows near 60.

Monday (Memorial Day): Mostly cloudy, and mild. Chance of showers. Highs near 72. Lows near 57.
