Lindeman, originally from Montreal, got serious about her craft when she started writing poetry at the age of 16. She described herself as a “fiery Latina, a history buff with a love of classic literature”—and slowly, quickly enjoyed success as an author.

Lindeman was just 24 when he released the first book in his series of reminiscences, Redeemed From the Ashes, which took him seven years to write and involved the Halifax Explosion of 1917. The book tour was memorable – it included lead to Halifax in 2017. , the 100th anniversary of the tragedy, and the Halifax Regional School Board ended up buying hundreds of copies of Redeemed From the Ashes.

An audio version of the book will be released next month, and in two weeks a paper version of the sequel, Ghost of My Heart – originally only an e-book – will be released.

Poignant moments for the now 32-year-old, who home-schools her four oldest children and describes her move to the area years ago as having “iThe idyllic countryside of Eastern Ontario, where he dreams daily of the Scottish Highlands.”

And, Lindeman is gearing up for fun book releases, including one coming up at the Cornwall Public Library on May 25. She organized a scavenger hunt which is facilitated by the library between 12pm and 2pm and after all riddles and clues lead to discoveries. , the book launch will last until 4 p.m., when the prizes will be handed out.

Note that proceeds from the event will be donated Rachel’s Kids Park of Hope, opening later this spring in Cornwall.
