Drug driver caught in Cornwall without licence

A driver whose provisional license had expired was caught driving under the influence of drugs in Cornwall.

Police stopped a Suzuki in Launceston last night (Monday, May 20) after it was suspected of driving without a licence. Police asked the driver to take a roadside drug test after he was suspected of being under the influence.

The test result was positive for cannabis and cocaine. The driver was detained at the scene and a blood sample was collected for analysis.
