May half-term is almost here, which means a whole week of little ones’ fun, but luckily there’s plenty to do in Huddersfield during the school holidays.

From burning off energy in a trampoline park to testing your strength at the climbing centre, we’ve put together a list of ten of the best things to do in Huddersfield this half term, suitable for all ages.

School holidays can be an expensive time for families, especially with the ongoing cost of living crisis, so we’ve taken care to select activities that are affordable so you can enjoy a day out without breaking the bank.

Here are seven fun but affordable ideas for a day out to enjoy this half term.

Inflata Nation, in Folly Hall Mills, Huddersfield, is gearing up for summer and visitors are invited to join the party. And regardless of the weather, the interior will be decked out for a summer evening.

Matt Ball, co-owner of Inflata Nation, said: “We’ve had some cloudy weather so far this month so we thought we’d get everyone in the mood for summer.

Families are invited to join our farmers in the round display barns as they shear their flock of sheep – and tell visitors why we do it and where the wool goes. So it’s not only fun, but educational too!

The activity is included with general admission to the farm, so you can spend the whole day enjoying the farm, visiting the animals, experiencing the new accessible play areas (which have just had a multi-million pound investment), plus sheep and ferrets. tractor races and rides, plus watching meerkat feeding sessions.

The reptile house will feature a team of working ants and many other fascinating creatures, the mammal house is home to some of the most unusual and rare mini-beasts.

Entry to the soft play is also included with entry – plus there’s a free test track to help keep the kids occupied. So there really is something for everyone!
