My £3.49 Middle of Lidl purchase added a special touch to my garden

The first summer sunshine gets us all outside, doesn’t it, even if it’s short-lived.

And when you’re spending more time outdoors, it’s inevitable that you’ll want a nice space in which to relax.

Even if you don’t have the money for a complete garden makeover, or even if you don’t have a garden at all, there are still small things you can do to brighten things up.

I did just that with my last Lidl purchase and it only cost me £3.49. After discovering his new range of garden lights in the Middle section of Lidl, among them was a small box of Glow in the Dark Pebbles.

I’m always a bit dubious if glow in the dark products actually work, too often you find they give off a faint glow that can only really be seen through squinting eyes. But at £3.49 for a box of around 17 stones I thought it was worth a shot.

After placing them among some pieces of slate in one of my pots, I left them alone for the day, wondering if I would see too many of them once night fell.

But I was pleasantly surprised when I went outside at dusk and saw them already glowing. By the time it got completely dark, they were really quite bright.

You wouldn’t think something so small could make such a big difference but I love the special touch they put in for such a small cost and I might even buy a few more boxes to spread around pebbles elsewhere.

There are other products to choose from in the Livarno range, including some LED bulb lights that I picked up for £9.99 for a box of 10. They have a six-hour timer that automatically repeats daily, so turn them on whenever necessary. and start the timer.

I chose the warm white ones, but you can also get the colored ones as well as the Lantern String Lights, again either white or colored.
