The Premier League season is done and dusted, giving most clubs permission to focus solely on a summer of squad improvement. For Manchester United and Manchester City, there remains the important matter of an FA Cup final to be decided this weekend.

Although not directly related to the transfer, the window itself was thrown wide open when Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino parted ways on Tuesday. Exactly who steps in at Stamford Bridge and their relationship with the club’s co-sporting directors could have a huge impact on what deals are done.

A change in Liverpool management will also have an effect as Arne Slot – now officially unveiled as Jurgen Klopp’s successor – prepares to build a squad of players in his own image.

Man Utd have been rocked by a £43m bid

Manchester United’s pursuit of Leny Yoro could be over as Paris Saint-Germain have seen a £43m transfer bid accepted by Lille, according to Sports Zone.

Yoro only turned 18 last November but has already made more than 70 senior appearances in central defence.

Liverpool and Real Madrid have also been linked with the Frenchman, but PSG appear to have struck first.
