VALLEY-GODARD, Alma Mary – Peacefully at Chartwell Lancaster on Wednesday November 8, 2023 aged 100 years. Beloved wife of the late Aime Godard and the late Lawrence (Lorne) Valley. Loving mother of Richard Valley (Wendy) of Blairmore AB, Gail Lawrence (Gordon Darling) of Coleman AB and the late Roderick “Roddy” Valley. Proud grandmother of Shawn Valley and Ryan Valley. Dear daughter of the late James Blair and the late Mary (nee McLennan) Blair. She was predeceased by her brothers Eddie (twin brother), John, Rod and her sisters Helen, Freda, Doris and Margaret. Alma lived a full life; employed at CJSS Radio Station for 29 years until retirement, active member of Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 297 for over 30 years, member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 297, Navy Club and Seniors Club over 60 and member of congregation St. John’s Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home 341 Pitt Street Cornwall Ontario (613-938-1039). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 297, 415 Second Street West Cornwall at 1 pm As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer Society, MS Society, Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 297 or Royal .
