Live flood updates in Leicestershire as rain warning is in place

Thank you for connecting. Three flood alerts are currently in place across Leicestershire. These have been issued by the Government’s flood service and are for Loughborough urban watercourses and local tributaries of the River Soar, the lower River Soar in Leicestershire and tributaries within the city of Leicester.

  • Loughborough urban waterways and local tributaries of the River Soar:

Areas most at risk are low-lying farmland and roads including Kingfisher Way, Forest Road and Monarch Way in Wood Brook, Grace Dieu Brook, Burleigh Brook, Black Brook, Grammar School Brook, Hermitage Brook, Sileby Brook, Long Whatton Brook. , King’s Brook and Kingston Brook.

The areas most at risk are low-lying farmland and roads, including Slash Lane to Sileby and the Mountsorrel to Sileby Road.

  • Tributaries to the City of Leicester

Areas of particular risk include those around Braunstone Brook, Lubbesthorpe Brook, Melton Brook, Saffron Brook, Willow Brook, Bushby Brook, Evington Brook, Thurnby Brook and Scraptoft Brook.
