The Dorothy House Nature Trail aims to encourage reflections on death

“It’s a physical articulation of our vision of a society where death is part of life,” she said.

The trail is part of the charity’s ambition to open the property to anyone who wants to find a space of wellbeing, reflect in nature or find “peace in pain”, the charity said.

Created by creative art therapists who work on site and funded by donations from the Rotary Club of Chippenham, visitors to the trail can also take part in nature rubs.

“They’ve created boards where kids, anyone really, can use a piece of paper and a pencil, when they rub the pencil across the top, it shows in relief some of the creatures and nature that we can find,” said Ms Hancock.
