The Met Office’s verdict on when the heavy rain will stop soaking Coventry

The Met Office has forecast heavy rain to stop in Coventry and Warwickshire tomorrow morning. It issued a yellow 30 hour rain warning for our area and it came into effect just after midnight.

It is for “heavy rain” that “could cause disruption” in the region. But the warning ends at 6am tomorrow morning (May 23)

However, while the heavy rain is set to stop, there is a chance of much lighter showers tomorrow, with a drier day on Friday (May 24).

The latest local report from the Met Office predicts cloudy weather with rain becoming lighter and patchier throughout the day. Temperatures are set to be around average.

However, it warns it could be “quite windy”, with a maximum temperature of 16C. As we head into the bank holiday weekend, there will be a mix of sunshine and showers.

The forecast is for a big dry spell on Friday with a few showers around. Fine and dry to start Saturday with some thicker cloud and rain likely to come later. Sun and showers on Sunday.
