Man named and charged after huge police incident at Nuneaton home

A man has been charged after a huge police incident at a house in Nuneaton. During the call to Croft Road, seven police cars were seen outside a property.

This was part of the response after suspects allegedly ‘barricaded themselves’ in the house before officers were then attacked last Thursday night (May 16) Warwickshire Police confirmed that a man has now been charged with a number of crimes.



James Badland, 28, of Croft Road, was charged with affray and four counts of assault by beating a police officer. He also faces a charge of threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

Badland is due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on June 11. He was remanded in custody until the court date.
