Coventry is named in the list of the best cities in the UK to go on holiday

Coventry has been named one of the top places to enjoy a holiday. The city has been included in a list of places in the UK to enjoy a holiday if you don’t fancy traveling abroad.

And Stratford-on-Avon, in Warwickshire, also made the list, compiled by consumer champions Which?

In the big cities category, Liverpool came top with 84%, while Edinburgh, York, Belfast and Glasgow were also named in the top five. Coventry came 18th with 63% – just behind Birmingham, reports WalesOnline.

In the small town category, Stratford made the top five with 76 per cent. Wells came top, followed by Durham, St Andrews and Winchester.

The towns and cities were ranked from a survey of around 4,0000 Which? members who have shared their experiences visiting UK towns and cities over the past two years.

Towns and cities are rated five stars on a range of criteria, including accommodation, food and ice rink, cultural sights and tourist attractions and value for money.
