Construction is scheduled to begin in September this year, with the Duchy providing the land for the homes and using its design and development management expertise to guide the delivery of the overall project. Kensington Palace said: “The homes are designed to be consistent with the quality and character of Nansledan, to give residents dignity and help them settle into their new community from day one.

“Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2024 and the first homes are due to be completed in autumn 2025. The innovation that Ducat has included in the design will mean that the homes will be built to Passivhaus standards for energy efficiency and sustainability. The first phase will focus on creating high quality temporary accommodation that feels like home, with a clear pathway to a permanent home as accommodation becomes available.

“St Petrocs will also help residents reap the benefits of an active and growing community in Nansledan, where there are training and employment pathways alongside more permanent housing solutions.”
