Car windows have been smashed and exterior mirrors ‘snapped’ in incidents across the county

Vehicle windows have been smashed in a “number of incidents” in Leicestershire in “recent weeks”, police officers said. Charnwood officers said the vehicles were targeted on Loughborough Road in Mountsorrel.

Officers said they would “review” the incidents. In a ‘Spotted Mountsorrel’ social media group, several users said their wing mirrors had been ‘disabled’.

LeicestershireLive asked Leicestershire Police for the number of crimes that were reported, but the force said it could not provide any further information. Officers have asked anyone with further information or any “relevant” CCTV or doorbell footage capturing any of the offenses to contact Leicestershire Police on 101 or get in touch via its website.
