The electronics giant’s automotive arm is expanding into new offices in Coventry

LG Electronics’ automotive division has moved to larger offices in Coventry following a ten-week refurbishment.

LG Electronics in Vehicle Components, part of Korean giant LG Electronics, has moved into a 5,700 square meter space at the Viscount B Center at the University of Warwick’s Science Park.

The fit-out was completed by renovation specialists Sandell Group.

Sandell undertook a ten-week construction project in March, equipping the office with features such as open workspaces for staff, light-filled meeting rooms with glass walls, furniture purchases and a large open kitchen and one-wall boardroom removable to facilitate larger gatherings if required.

The company supplies vehicle electronics to car manufacturers around the world. LG needed more space to expand its team from 24 to around 30 as it continues to grow.

Mollie O’Mara, who acted as project manager for LG during the move, said: “The new office is fantastic – it looks exactly like the initial renderings we were shown. Sandell was excellent to deal with throughout. Communication was always clear and the team were only too happy to answer our questions. Our new base at Viscount Center B will be the perfect place for LG Electronics Vehicle Components to achieve even more success with our customers both in the Midlands and around the world.”
