Leicester City fan meets Enzo Maresca and Jamie Vardy on VIP day thanks to Rutland care home

A soccer-loving resident had a day to remember when he received the VIP treatment from his favorite club.

Paul, a resident of Tixover House in Rutland, holds a lifetime season ticket to Leicester City and was invited by the club as a VIP guest for the final game of their title-winning season.

Having attended over 1,500 games in the UK and abroad, Leicester-born Paul has lived in the Stamford area for many years and is well known locally for his love of the Foxes.

The team at Tixover House arranged for him to walk down the tunnel to the touchline for the team warm-up and meet players past and present.

Paul received a shirt signed by former City England striker Jamie Vardy and also met the club’s manager, Enzo Maresca, who led the club straight back into the Premier League.

“It was an incredibly emotional day,” said Paul’s family.
