The Tories have destroyed Britain, the moment of their removal is here when the general election is called

For many of us, it’s hard to remember what it was like to live under anything other than a Conservative government.

Since 2010, cities like Liverpool have seen nothing but pernicious cuts and a government that at best seems indifferent to its problems and at worst seems to be actively working to make people’s lives harder.




To be honest, we have all lived through 14 years of cuts and chaos that have driven this country to the absolute brink. It started with the coalition government in 2010, which embarked on one of the biggest and most brutal austerity projects in modern times and cut billions of pounds of vital funding from communities.

As austerity and its effects continued, so did the seemingly endless psychodramas of the Conservative Party. Cameron was finished with the Brexit frenzy, and his successor Theresa May followed the same path shortly after.

Liverpool has its own history with Boris Johnson and nobody in this city will have been particularly surprised to see his premiership begin and end in a storm of scandal.

But they’re not done yet.
